Benchmarks: Company of Heroes, Far Cry

So, X3: Reunion did not show off the full capabilities of this new graphics card, but the latest real time strategy game did. After testing the MSI GeForce 8800 GTX in Company of Heroes, I did not believe what I was seeing. At 1600x1200 the 8800 GTX was almost two and a half times faster than the Radeon X1950XTX. What was even more amazing than that was the 63.6fps rendered at 2560x1600, compared to the 15.3fps rendered by the X1950XTX, making the 8800 GTX just over four times faster. The results above really speak for themselves.

While the GeForce 8800 GTX was faster than the Radeon X1950XTX in Far Cry, this older game failed to utilize the full potential of the new GeForce. The 8800 GTX was still 23% faster at 1920x1200, and both graphics cards produced playable performance at 2560x1600.
