Except many already view the iPhone as too big, thus *any* further increase is annoying.

Just another boring phone - sure its a bit faster and a bit bigger, but at this point who gives one?

They were cheering loudly how the earlier droid junk phones had bigger screens. Now that Apple screens are same size as the droids, suddenly nobody wants bigger screens??

I've never wanted a big screen. I'm not a "text neck" and don't live to take selfies

Phones are just too big and heavy now; I don't care what the sales numbers say as nearly every phone on the market is huge and heavy. There are very few options for small phones and many of those are quite expensive or have significantly lower specs.

Exactly! Don't worry, most of these big phone loving people will have a big change of heart. Trust me on this. Why do I say this? More and more technology will unbind us from the phone, just like the AW. They may use the phone for processing, but that's about it. So, people will want something so small and light they can stick it in their shirt pocket.

I say 2 years and we'll see the phone bloat begin to deflate.

While I don't care for the English \ imperial measurement system, Great Britain still uses it as well. They are I would say a little over half way commited to metric, unlike the US which while metric is still heavily used, English units are still used more often.

Most manufacturing equipment was designed on the imperial system and they just stuck to it which is probably a big driver as to why it is still in use today. My cousin is a mechanical engineer and keeps telling me the English units for the equipment is superior and more accurate because it uses 1000's of an inch compared to millimeters. I then tell him he is unintentionally admitting the simplicity of base 10 is superior. We have a good laugh... we're usually drunk during this conversation.

Foldables for those who can afford, using both hands for the rest.
But large displays offer so much more comfort for reading and watching that everything negative is still a small price to pay.
I remember well how small most phones used to be.
It changed quickly because people wanted bigger.
Maybe with very light but mighty headsets this could change.
