Multiverses may be overdone in moviedom, but they've provided some fresh and very welcome ideas in Trinity Fusion. As such, this is one of the most enjoyable rogue-lites I’ve played all year. Add to that the responsive controls and engaging combat and this is easily Angry Mob Games' best release yet.
Our editors hand-pick similar games based on a broad set of criteria: they may be direct competitors targeting the same player base, or they could be games that share similar themes, gameplay mechanics, or artistic styles.
Trinity Fusion may not be the most original game, but it’s good looking, exciting to play and features enough new ideas to earn its place at a crowded table.

Trinity Fusion cleverly combines roguelike gameplay and a solid understanding of Metroidvania mechanics with unique ideas and some unmistakable originality. This action-packed platformer should appeal to fans of multiple genres with its strong gameplay and beautiful visuals.
Trinity Fusion has a unique premise but quickly falls into the tried and tested conventions of the genre. The gameplay loop is addictive and offers variety through the number of options available and different locations for each character. While elements of the combat are strong, such as evasion, it lacks the fluidity seen with its peers.
Trinity Fusion is an unexpected gem foe me. It looks good, feels good, and keeps things interesting with its enemy variety. You can really tell what’s going on in a fight, and even though the dodge is easy, it doesn’t feel cheap.
As it is now, Trinity Fusion is a fun go but doesn’t feel complete. The core experience it offers is still something great, and knowing it isn’t stopping in terms of changing brings promise. That promise of more is yet another reason this game should continue to live even beyond its full release. Trinity Fusion is really only something that can exist in today's landscape, with the online medium allowing for further updates to the game surely the work here will continue to be something fun, but if this were a final product there would be some disappointments.
