The Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 is a competitive high-performance laptop in its class, and stands out from the crowd in this i9+ RTX 4080 variant thanks to its performance, competitive pricing (in most markets), and beautiful mini LED display. Just make sure you're OK with its peculiar design particularities, and you acknowledge and accept the high CPU/GPU temperatures in sustained loads and gaming sessions.

The price may make you do a double take but the Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 is an exceptional machine. Fitted with pretty much the best possible components out there, you won’t be compromising on performance anytime soon. It might not always feel like a premium product to touch, but it sure does perform like one.

The RTX 4080-armed Asus ROG Strix Scar 16 packs fantastic performance that makes its bigger sibling in the Scar 18 (with RTX 4090) sweat a little — all in a relatively compact chassis with a beautiful display, plenty of I/O, and decent ergonomics. Now if only it could be a little cheaper.

So yes, the Scar 16 is a monster of power and it benefits from one of the best screens on the market to date, but it should do even better, in our opinion, to stand out against competition that is also very well endowed in these two areas.
