The arrival of Marvel’s Spider-Man on PC brings one of PlayStation’s signature stars to a new platform. It looks fantastic, plays well across a variety of setups, and is one of the best games of the last five years. It is, in other words, essential, though you might want to wait for it to go on sale.

Spider-Man Remastered CPU Benchmark: The game has been buttery smooth for us, with the exception of a few older configurations using Zen and Zen+ processors, and we'd expect the experience to be dramatically worse with the likes of the older Core i5-7600K as the Core i3-10105F – which is basically a 7700K, which is basically a 6700K – wasn't very good.
Spider-Man Remastered GPU Benchmark: For example, 1080p medium only requires a Radeon 6500 XT, and that means any relatively modern GPU that's not a GTX 1630 or A380 will work just fine. The 6500 XT 1% lows were still a bit sketchy, so let's say the GTX 1650 is the minimum requirement here. Then at 1440p, the Radeon RX 580, 5500 XT, GTX 1080 or RTX 3050 will work well.

Sony set the bar high for Marvel's Spider-Man games when the initial release launched on the PS4 back in 2018, and then showed how it could look and run even better when it was launched on PS5 in 2020. If you want to read up on opinions on Spider-Man in...
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is a highly polished action-adventure game that features familiar comic book set pieces, tight gameplay systems, and amazingly detailed New York City-based environments that keep you entertained throughout a lengthy campaign.

With fantastic graphics and, ahem, spectacular gameplay, this is the best Spider-Man game ever. The performance isn't quite what I'd hoped, and some of the contrivances regarding enemy types get on my nerves, but this is a game that every Spidey fan needs to play.
The remaster isn’t without its faults, though, as windowed mode is limited, we did run into performance issues while running raytracing (at least more than usual) and drawing the environment can get finicky with fast camera movements. Still, Marvel’s Spider-Man is spectacular beyond bounds. Whether you’re a comic book or PC gaming enthusiast, Marvel’s Spider-Man is well worth experiencing for the first time or once more.
Overall, Marvel's Spider-Man Remastered is absolutely delightful. The game is still excellent four years down the line, and those who weren't able to play the PS4 release (or the PS5 remaster) will find this a suitable fit to finally get to play the title. It's a fantastic game - and PC player's new to the title won't have to get used to that Peter Parker character model swap either.
So while mileage may vary in terms of how much visual fidelity a system can offer the game, Spider-Man Remastered is still well worth playing and the PC version is the best looking version. Over time performance should get even better, but right now the game is still a must-play.
If you haven’t already heard about Marvel’s Spider-Man, it’s a great game, and the new PC release is basically the best way to play it. Alongside great performance, the PC version also supports some niche PC options, including Steam Controllers, and the Steam Deck verification means that it can also run on Linux.
Bottom line, just about anyone with a relatively recent PC and GPU can find a performance and graphics sweet spot. When it comes to options, this port was done right. For anyone who missed it on PlayStation 4, or doesn’t have a PS5, the PC Remastered edition of Marvel’s Spider-Man is essential gaming. PS5 players who already own the Remastered Edition won’t get anything new. At launch, Marvel’s Spider-Man was a great game with some minor flaws. It still is. While I wish the PC version had just a little something extra, it’s hard not to recommend it.
The game itself is fantastic, truly one of the best superhero experiences of all time. I love it. I think it’s worth double-dipping for if you’re a PS4/PS5 owner. I think it’s worth a second or third playthrough. I just wish it ran better.
